Review and export role permissions
When to use it
Use this guide when you need to review and export role permissions.
Before you start
- Open Role Management from the module menu. Your account must have access to this screen and permission for the action you want to complete.
What this changes
Viewing or downloading this information does not itself change the source records.
You can review the access each role provides and export the filtered role list.
Role permissions determine staff actions. Editing replaces the selected permission set. Removing a role detaches its users and permissions; its row may remain visible.
Steps
- Open Role Management and use Search roles or permissions or the Module filter.
- Review the role’s permissions and the modules they cover.
- Select Export CSV if you need a copy of the filtered results.
Restrictions
You need access to Role Management. Reviewing or exporting does not change permissions.
Troubleshooting
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| The role or permission is missing from the view | Check Search roles or permissions and Module, remove unintended selections and reload. Inspect the saved role before concluding its access was removed. |
| Permissions appear wrong | Compare the full saved set with approved access and ask an authorised administrator to follow Change an access role. Refresh afterward; a filtered view or export does not itself change staff access. |
| An outdated permission CSV was shared | Check the current role/module scope before Export CSV, verify included permissions and replace the earlier copy. Tell reviewers which version reflects the saved access. |
