Check and print a supplier credit note
When to use it
Check a credit note, which reduces what is owed to a supplier, and see how much has been used against bills.
Before you start
- You need permission to view supplier credit notes. Have the credit reference or supplier name.
What this changes
Viewing or downloading this information does not itself change the source records.
You can identify the correction and how much credit remains. Printing does not approve or apply the credit.
Bill validation can schedule a supplier payment or settle a zero-payable bill using credits. Scheduling a payment is not proof that money was transferred.
Steps
- Open Sourcing → Supplier Credit Notes, find the credit, and select View.
- Check the reference, supplier, linked order, requested date, status, amount, amount applied, and remaining balance.
- Compare the product breakdown with the quantity correction. Review the settlement history to see where the credit has been used.
- Select print if a copy is needed. Check the preview and choose your printer or save as PDF.

Restrictions and help
- Approved credit can be used against eligible bills, including other bills for the supplier. Check the settlement history rather than assuming it all belongs to one bill.
- Applied or Partially Applied means some or all of the credit has been used; it does not mean a cash refund was sent.
