View Inventory Valuation Report

When to use it

Use this guide when you need to view Inventory Valuation Report.

Before you start

  • Open Financials from the module menu. Your account must have access to this screen and permission for the action you want to complete.

What this changes

You can review stock quantities and their value in the report.

Viewing, filtering or exporting information does not correct the underlying records. A downloaded file is a copy of the result at that time.

Steps

  1. Open Reports → Financials and find Inventory Valuation Report.
  2. Select View & Download and wait for the report to load.
  3. Check the dates and any filters shown inside the report. Adjust them to the period and records you need.
  4. Review stock quantities and their value. Where the report provides an export option, choose it and check the downloaded file against the filters shown.

Restrictions

Report access depends on your account and the report being available. Export formats and filters depend on the report itself. Do not treat an empty or failed report as proof that no activity occurred.

Troubleshooting

What you seeWhat to do
The report is empty or will not loadConfirm the title is Inventory Valuation Report, then check the intended valuation date and product grades and any filters actually shown in the report. Remove unintended selections where offered and reload. An empty or failed report is not proof that no activity occurred; give the administrator its title and error if loading still fails.
Figures do not match the recordsCompare the report with stock quantities and recorded costs at that date, using the same scope and units. Ask the record owner to investigate or correct the source through its action guide. Refresh the report afterward and check the same references again.
An outdated or incorrectly filtered export was sharedWhere export is available, check the current report scope, download a new copy and verify its dates, rows, columns and totals. Replace the earlier copy and tell recipients which version to use; a source correction does not update a saved file.
