Reassign a route to another team

When to use it

Use this guide when you need to reassign a route to another team.

Before you start

  • Open Routes from the module menu. Your account must have access to this screen and permission for the action you want to complete.

What this changes

The route’s team or date assignment is changed.

Route actions change delivery planning, team assignments and stop details. Publishing makes a plan available to the driver; reversing a route changes stop order, not stock.

Steps

  1. Select the route and choose Reassign.
  2. Set the intended date, start time, vehicle, driver, and optional assistant.
  3. Check the orders and stops that will move, then select Apply.
  4. Review the saved route assignment and any publishing status.

Restrictions

Use route add/edit access and an eligible route. Check capacity and availability before reassignment. A changed assignment may need to be sent again to the driver app.

If something went wrong

After an unclear Apply, reopen the route and check date, start time, vehicle, driver and assistant before applying another reassignment.

For an eligible wrong assignment, use Reassign with the agreed team/date/time and Apply. If the state blocks reassignment, give Logistics the route reference and intended team; do not create a duplicate route to bypass it. Review published updates with the team before sending again.

Check the correction

Check the saved team, capacity, availability and stop assignments. Confirm both the former and intended teams know which plan to follow.
