Change a farmer classification

When to use it

Change how a farmer is classified when their business arrangement has changed.

Before you start

  • You need the classification action and supplier add/edit rights. Confirm the intended classification with the Sourcing reviewer.

What this changes

The chosen classification is recorded through the available classification flow.

These actions change the saved farmer or supplier information used for sourcing. Submitted payment details still need separate payment-profile review.

Steps

  1. Open the farmer’s profile or edit form and choose Reclassify Farmer where available.
  2. Answer the questions shown and choose the correct classification for the farmer’s current arrangement.
  3. Check the farmer’s identity and confirm the change.
  4. Find the record in its relevant list and check the resulting type and details. Complete any additional required information.

Restrictions and help

  • Classification affects which forms and related fields apply. Do not choose a type only to expose a button.
  • Where the flow directs you to a new farmer form, check the record being created rather than assuming the current supplier was converted.

If something went wrong

If the reclassification result is unclear, find the original record and check its current type before repeating the flow. Some choices open a new farmer form rather than converting the existing supplier.

If the wrong classification was saved, give the Sourcing reviewer the original reference, resulting record and intended business arrangement. Review the available Reclassify Farmer flow together; do not create another record or choose an inaccurate classification to expose fields.

Check the correction

Check which record was changed or created, its type and required details, and any linked farmers or orders. Confirm that staff will use the intended record for the next purchase.
