Check or correct a completed receipt

When to use it

Check a saved receipt and choose the proper correction when quantities are wrong.

Before you start

  • You need access to Purchase Receive. Have the order reference and evidence of the correct quantities.

What this changes

Viewing or downloading this information does not itself change the source records.

You have checked the recorded receipt and identified the correct correction task.

Completing receipt adds the received stock and creates or refreshes a supplier bill. Different-grade and excess deliveries can create linked orders for review.

Steps

  1. Open Sourcing → Purchase Receive, change the status filter to completed orders, and find the receipt.
  2. Use View to compare the receive date, products, grades, units, quantities, and delivery documents.
  3. If quantities need correction, open the completed order under Supplier Orders and follow Raise Bills/Credits where it is available.
  4. If the receipt cannot be corrected through that action, give the reference and discrepancy to the Sourcing reviewer.

Restrictions and help

  • The list offers Edit, but saving through the current receipt form is rejected once the order is Completed. Do not rely on it to update a completed receipt.
  • Do not create another receipt for the same delivery. That can duplicate stock and bills.
  • Invoice problems can be handled through the order invoice actions without repeating receipt.

Troubleshooting
