Reorder rejected items

When to use it

Use this guide when you need to reorder rejected items.

Before you start

  • Open Rejects from the module menu. Your account must have access to this screen and permission for the action you want to complete.

What this changes

The selected rejected items are submitted for a replacement order.

Rejection decisions record rejected quantities and may create a credit or replacement order. A replacement order is a new delivery, not a physical return of the original goods.

Steps

  1. Open Sales → Rejects and select the required rejected items.
  2. Select Reorder and check the order and item details shown.
  3. Enter the delivery date and delivery window. Check each replacement quantity and price.
  4. Select Reorder in the form and check the resulting order information.

Restrictions

At least one rejected item must be selected. Check that items belong to the intended order and use the quantities that should actually be replaced.

If something went wrong

Before Reorder, correct selected items, replacement quantities/prices and delivery date/window.

After an unclear save, inspect the resulting replacement order and original rejection before reordering again. For a wrong unused replacement, review Cancel a customer order and confirm cancellation before creating the correct one. If the replacement was already processed, use Customer-order recovery with Sales, Inventory and Finance.

Check the correction

Match original rejected quantities to the intended replacement once. Check the replacement's status, price and delivery details, and handle returned/wasted goods separately.
